A few tips to spice things up... starting in the kitchen.
Eat fat.
The good fat that is. Particularly the Omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.
They nourish the nervous system and reproductive tissues and aid in the production. of sex hormones. They also help to elevate and stabilize your mood. Oily Fish is a great source of Omega 3, such as Salmon, oysters and anchovies. Leafy grean veggies like spinach, kale and watercress are another good source. If you dont think you are getting enough in your diet, you can use a supplement. Omega 3 is fantastic at reducing inflamation in the body, promoting overall good health.
Have a little dark chocolate!
A compound in dark chocolate called phenylethylamine releases the same endorphins triggered by sex and increases the feelings of comfort and attraction between two people. The Journal of Sexual Medicine reports that those who consume at least one cube of dark chocolate daily experience greater desire and better overall sexual function than those who don't partake, so enjoy!
Omit caffeine.
At least limit it to no more than one cup a day and only in the morning. Caffeine deactivates testosterone and is irritating to your nervous system.
Limit soy.
Excessive consumption of soy can spike your serotonin levels, and lower your testosterone levels, drastically recucing your drive.
Eat asparagus.
It is loaded with folate, a B vitamin that increases blood levels of histamine, a neurotransmitter that helps the body to orgasm and protodioscin, a plant chemical which has been shown to have an aphrodesiac affect and increase blood flow to the sex organs.
In addition to seafood, dark chocolate and asparagus, the following are a few other foods that are well known to support a healthy libido and general feeling of well being:
- Avocados
- Figs
- Bright berries
- Almonds
- Pumpkin seeds
- Watermelon
- Bananas
- Celery

Eat up and eat plenty from this group of super stimulating foods!
And why not put together an exciting dinner for Valentine's Day taking as many ingredients as you can from those on the list? Maybe something like...
